Role & Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders in clients of all ages.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support communication and swallowing needs.
- Work with children and adults, including those with developmental delays, neurological conditions, and disabilities.
- Collaborate with other allied health professionals to provide holistic and integrated care.
- Educate clients, caregivers, and families on therapy techniques and strategies for ongoing support.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide reports as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Pathology.
- Certified practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
- Experience working with paediatric and/or adult clients in clinical or community settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or valid Police Check).
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
- ABN (Australian Business Number) for contractor work.
