We have a role available for a Data Manager to join our Defence division. This is a permanent full-time position that could be based at any of the main defence bases in the Northern Territory or from our Melbourne Head Office on Collins Street.

About the role

You will manage the GEMS Data Load across multiple bases on a state-wide contract. In this role, you will oversee data provisioning for Contract Change Proposals (CCP's), and maintenance planning. You will also provide guidance for the loading, storage, and accuracy of all asset-related data, ensuring integrity and consistency across all operational platforms.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting regular audits to verify data accuracy and compliance with established standards.

• Developing and maintaining comprehensive maintenance planning data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all asset-related data.

• Providing data provisioning support for the Contract Change Proposal's (CCP's).

• Collaborating with the PAS Regional Asset Manager to meet all data management requirements within the contract.

• Offer guidance on best practices for data storage and loading, as well as training and supporting staff in data management processes and systems.

• Updating and maintaining documentation related to data management protocols and procedures.

• Working collaboratively with teams to implement and identify areas for improvement.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in data management, preferably within a defence or large multi-site asset management environment.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Strong understanding of data provisioning for Contract Change Proposals (CCP's).

• Proven experience with GEMS or similar Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems.

• Tertiary qualification in Information Management, Data Science, or a related field.

• Professional certification in a related field is highly desirable.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
