Are you passionate about preserving and improving the Mornington Peninsula's natural environment, while maintaining and developing tourism opportunities?

Capel Sound Foreshores Committee of Management Inc. is seeking an experienced Ranger to work in a full-time position.

Based on the beautiful Capel Sound Foreshores, this position will be responsible for the conservation and maintenance of our reserve and facilities, all whilst ensuring the highest standard of customer service for all our visitors.

RANGER

Reporting to the Manager, the Ranger will be required to carry out and coordinate works associated with the Coastal Management Plan.

The Person

To be considered for this position, you will have strong skills in customer service, have been in a hands-on, physical role with responsibility for environment conservation, weed management and re-vegetation works and are looking to make a difference in customer satisfaction and environmental management.

Good computer skills are essential to utilize our booking system and to update and maintain risk register, work sheets, audits and reports.

Responsibilities for this position will depend on the season. During Camping Season, responsibilities will include customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors including campers, day visitors, locals and boat users, as well as maintaining operations and cleanliness of foreshore grounds and facilities.

During Camping Off Season, responsibilities will focus more on scheduled environmental improvements and maintenance.  This includes conservation activities; larger scale maintenance works and basic risk audits.

Rostered weekend / Public Holiday work during camping season is a requirement of this position.
