Key responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems for residential and commercial clients.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues; provide preventative and prescriptive solutions.
  • Lead a team on medium to large scale projects.
  • Ensure all work meets industry standards and building codes.
  • Ensure all work is completed on-time and within budget.
  • Provide excellent customer service and always maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Able to manage multiple jobs at any given time.
  • Able to work with apprentices, and delegate work.
  • Ensure all material is readily available for the next day.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience as a plumber (minimum 2 years experience in commercial plumbing and drainage).
  • Ability to read and interpret plans.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in both commercial and industrial plumbing, civil storm water, sewer drainage, fire hydrants, water and gas.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and can also lead and teach apprentices.
  • Great communication skills not only with the team but also with builders.
  • Basic heavy machinery operation experience prefferred.
  • Be willing to travel to different job sites across Sydney and Wollongong regions.
  • Has their own set of hand tools.
  • Shows initiative, positive attitude, an eagerness to learn and grow, determined and trustworthy.
  • Must hold a Certificate III plumbing qualification.
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency required.
