About the role

KSH Group is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator Draftsperson to join our team in Lidcombe, NSW. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations. As a Sheet Metal Fabricator draftsperson, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of high-quality metal components to exacting standards.

Salary starting at $80,000pa and commensurate on skills sets and experiences.

What you'll be doing

  1. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to fabricate precision metal parts and components
  2. Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment such as shears, brakes, rollers, and welding machines to cut, bend, and join metal materials
  3. Perform layout, cutting, grinding, and finishing operations to ensure parts meet required specifications
  4. Maintain a safe and organised work environment, following all safety protocols and procedures
  5. Collaborate with the production team to optimise workflows and processes
  6. Assist with the maintenance and calibration of fabrication equipment

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience as a sheet metal fabricator draftsperson, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
  2. Have sound knowledge of SolidWorks and IronCAD software
  3. Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques, including cutting, bending, welding, and finishing
  4. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders
  5. Skilled in the use of sheet metal fabrication equipment, such as shears, brakes, and welding machines
  6. Attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  7. Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues during the fabrication process
  8. Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organised work environment
