Diesel Fitter – Truck Mechanic

Vinton Tree Services is a family owned and operated Amenity Tree Company.   We currently have an opening for a qualified Diesel Fitter – Truck Mechanic.

Positions will be full time.

Average hours 38 per week.

Position will be at our Kingston depot

Rate will be based on experience and ability.

Skills and experience

Currently participating within a Mechanical Trade as a Diesel Fitter, Plant Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

Solid background in a mechanical role including servicing, diagnostics or hydraulics

Experience with Trucks, mobile plant, construction equipment or farming equipment

Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) Mobile Plant, Fitter Machinist or Heavy Diesel trade qualifications

Have previous experience with the overhaul, repair and remanufacture of mechanical and hydraulic components

Ability to carry out a physical role with a strong mechanical aptitude

A strong commitment to safe work practices and good communication skills

Must Hold a minimum current Car Licence but a HR/MR preferred.

Only Australian residents or those holding the appropriate Working Visas for Australia, and already living in Australia, will be considered.
