Research:
Simulation and analysis of quantum sensor environment using industry-standard electromagnetic simulation tools (such as HFSS, CST or equivalent).
Design of novel antenna and flux focalising structures for operation with quantum sensors.
Conception and implementation of in-house test beds as per project requirements.
Experimental characterisation of the designed structures in the microwave lab and anechoic chamber.
Close and collegial work with project partners in an interdisciplinary environment including theoretical and experimental physicists, material scientists, and manufacturing process engineers some of which are based in Adelaide and Melbourne.
Interaction with project partners in academia and industry.
Production of quality research outputs consistent with discipline norms and opportunity to learn about the most advanced quantum modelling techniques.
