The Role:

An Australian-based IT and Cyber Security consulting firm with over 20 years' industry experience is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to lead secure, scalable, multi-cloud solutions for high-profile clients across government, defence, finance, and transport.

Based in Rockdale, NSW, this hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical projects while enjoying a flexible work environment that supports professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.
  • Lead Infrastructure as Code delivery using Terraform, Bicep, and CloudFormation.
  • Drive automation and CI/CD optimisation with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and AWS CodePipeline.
  • Embed Zero Trust models and compliance frameworks (Essential Eight, IRAP, GDPR, PCI DSS).
  • Deliver high-impact cloud migration and transformation projects.
  • Mentor engineers and uplift governance via reusable templates and standardised policies.
  • Support FinOps and cost optimisation initiatives.

Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years in cloud architecture and infrastructure delivery.
  • Proven experience across Azure and AWS platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks in regulated environments.
  • Hands-on expertise with DevOps tools, automation, and observability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-500, or AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
  • Baseline security clearance (or ability to obtain).
