About the job:

As a heavy vehicle auto-electrician apprentice, we will provide you with all the necessary training, experience, and support to develop into a fully qualified auto-electrician.

• Your training continues beyond the classroom, with continuous on-the-job and national Original Equipment Manufacturer training.
• State-of-the-art facilities, including the latest computer diagnostic equipment.
• Opportunities to represent Patterson Cheney Trucks at National and International Competitions.
• Be rewarded for your hard work as a valued workshop team member.

Who are we looking for?

• Completed a Cert II in heavy vehicle automotive or auto electrical (ideal)
• Completed or currently completing Year 12, VCAL or pre-apprenticeship program.
• Have a current driver's licence (Preferred).
• Ambitious, reliable and well-presented.
• Motivated, eager to learn and committed to completing a 4-year apprenticeship term.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems with a desire to learn.
• A strong understanding of safety in the workplace.
• Available to commence in January 2026.
