About the Role:

ACT Pathology is a division of CHS with laboratories located at both the Canberra Hospital and North Canberra Hospital operating 24 hours, seven days a week all year round. Pathology provides diagnostic and consultative services to medical specialists and general practitioners and their patients in hospital and in the community.

The Anatomical Pathology Department routinely operates Monday – Friday. It encompasses Histology, Cytology, Electron Microscopy, Mortuary and Administration (medical secretaries). Under direction, the successful applicant will be required to perform diagnostic and other technical tests and procedures in Histology and Cytology within Anatomical Pathology at the Canberra Hospital and play a role in the trouble shooting of instrumentation and Quality Control processes.

The successful candidate will be required to participate in the after-hours roster.
