About Us

Your Local Legends is a Brisbane-based tutoring business dedicated to helping high school students excel academically and build confidence. We provide tailored one-on-one support and pride ourselves on creating a positive learning environment.

The Role

We are seeking a high-achieving and motivated tutor to join our team. You will be working with students from Years 7–12 across a range of subjects, depending on your expertise. Sessions are flexible and can be conducted either in-person (at students' homes) or online.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions
  • Support students with homework, assignments, and exam preparation
  • Adapt teaching approaches to suit individual learning needs
  • Communicate clearly with students and parents about progress
  • Represent Your Local Legends with professionalism

Requirements

  • Achieved an ATAR of 97+ (or equivalent academic results)
  • Hold a current Blue Card (or be willing to obtain one)
  • Hold an ABN (or be willing to register one)
  • Own a reliable car and be willing to drive to tutoring sessions around Brisbane
  • Strong knowledge in one or more high school subjects (Maths, English, or Sciences highly desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, organised, and patient
  • Prior tutoring experience preferred but not essential

What We Offer

Job Type: Subcontract

Pay: $45.00 – $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 10 per week

  • Australia (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 75% (Preferred)
