About The Opportunity
Are you detail-oriented, passionate about privacy, and ready to play a vital role in healthcare? We're seeking a dedicated professional to join our Clinical Information Department, where you'll manage the release of personal health information for medico-legal purposes, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure compliance with NSW privacy legislation. From handling subpoenas and police requests to supporting ongoing patient care and managing deceased records, this role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a real difference. What You'll Be Doing
To contribute to the efficient operation of the Clinical Information Department by processing the release of personal health information for medico-legal purposes in particular litigation, police requests, subpoenas, copies of clinical records, requests for medical reports summary of injuries, completion of all deceased paperwork/records and requests for information for ongoing care purposes. To ensure that patient privacy is maintained as per relevant policies and procedures.

  • Completion of medical terminology course or willingness to complete course.
  • Previous clerical experience in a health or legal environment.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail to ensure accuracy in a high volume environment.
  • A good understanding of legislation regarding release of information and privacy.
  • Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of computerised patient administration systems including electronic medical record systems.
