Commercial Jetboat Skipper

AMSA Issued Commercial Marine Coxswain Grade 1 NC license required before applying.

Immediate start required, guaranteed 4-5 days a week until the end of March.

We're on the hunt for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our team, who can offer an entertaining and exhilarating, yet professional and safe experience for our customers. Jetboat Extreme is a family run business operating jet boat tours on the Gold Coast Broadwaters for over 20 years, with some of the best experience across the team and state of the art equipment. General day to day duties are outlined below, but will predominantly be driving our fleet of 4 vessels due to our small team.

The role will include but is not be limited to:

• Jetboat tour operation - briefings, vessel handling, guiding etc.
• High level of physical fitness required for safe jetboat operations
• Be aware of, perform and adhere to the Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policies/procedures and in-house policies/procedures as laid out in the SMS and operations manual
• Always ensure excellent and professional client service by being courteous, welcoming, and informative.
• Strong and effective communication methods with management and other staff
• The ability to work independently and take initiative when required
• Carry out monthly drills with all crew
• Fuelling of vessel and daily maintenance
• Other duties as assigned.

What we need from you:

• Coxswain Grade 1 Near Coastal
• A Background in Tourism is favourable
• Local area knowledge of the Gold Coast Broadwaters also favourable
• Australian work rights are required for this position

Due to the nature of our business and catering to the needs of tourists, our team are all expected to work weekends, school holidays and public holidays (Christmas day, Australia day and Anzac day an exception as the company is closed).
