Are you a hands-on, results-driven warehouse leader? We're currently partnering with a leading national organisation to recruit an experienced Distribution Centre Manager to lead day-to-day warehouse operations for a 12-month contract. This is an operationally focused role, pure execution, leadership, and problem-solving.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading daily operations of the distribution centre, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, and dispatch processes.
  • Managing and mentoring a large team of warehouse staff and supervisors with a strong presence on the floor.
  • Monitoring performance metrics (OTIF, DIFOT, pick rates, etc.) and driving continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring workplace health and safety (WHS) compliance across all areas.
  • Managing stock accuracy, cycle counts, and physical inventory control.
  • Acting as the go-to problem-solver — jumping in to support, troubleshoot, and lead from the front.
What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience managing large warehouse or distribution centre operations.
  • Hands-on leadership style — you lead by example and are actively involved in daily floor operations.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse systems, processes, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to motivate teams, drive performance, and foster a positive working environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
