Pacific Hills Christian School is a co-educational Prep to Year 12 Christian school with 1500 students, located in Dural, in the Hills District of Sydney. The School is part of the Pacific Group of ten Christian schools, with six of these schools located in regional NSW. The School emphasises excellence and growth in Christian character with its vision being 'to provide a Christian educational community as a centre of teaching, learning, and serving excellence founded on Biblically based beliefs, values, and behaviour'. Job Description

As part of the School Leadership Team, the Head of Junior School is to contribute to the development and maintenance of the overall culture and climate of the School with specific consideration and advocacy for the particularly distinct needs of all students. They are to ensure the implementation of the School's vision and policies through the development and maintenance of School practice that is in keeping with the overall ethos and climate of Pacific Hills Christian School.

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Personal Christian faith and a commitment to this community of faith and practice
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in education
  • 5 years' experience in teaching
  • 2 years' experience in educational leadership (desirable)
  • Depth of understanding of the principles of Christian education.
  • Exemplary teaching practice.
  • Highly developed administrative skills.
  • Highly effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and relational skills.
  • Capacity to develop policy and curriculum aligned to the School's vision and to implement policy in procedures

  • Day to day operations through the organisation of the Junior School

  • Pastoral care and welfare of the Junior School community of students, parents, and staff
