Motor Mechanic

Motor Mechanic & Third-Year Apprentice – Metro & Countryside Opportunities

Jadoon Group Pty Ltd t/a Bosch AJ Service Centre is seeking a full-time qualified Motor Mechanic and a Third-Year Motor Mechanic Apprentice to join our growing team. We have opportunities available across our Metro workshops and countryside locations, including Alexandra and Portland. We welcome candidates who are willing to travel to our countryside sites, with potential incentives for those open to short-term or long-term assignments outside the metro area.

Available Positions:

• Qualified Motor Mechanic – Minimum of five years' experience.
• Third-Year Motor Mechanic Apprentice – Minimum of three years' experience in the trade.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair various makes and models of automotive vehicles.
• Identify faults, recommend, and implement the best possible solutions.
• Perform mechanical repairs, including periodic servicing, brake repairs, clutches, and timing belt replacements.
• Conduct inspections and run diagnostic tests to detect functional issues.
• Dismantle, replace, or repair defective parts and equipment.
• Change engine and transmission oils and conduct final quality checks before returning vehicles to customers.
• Perform roadworthy testing.
• Adhere to work safety guidelines, report hazards, and maintain a clean and organized workshop.
• Train and mentor apprentices and other workshop staff as required.

Skills and Qualifications

Qualified Motor Mechanic:

• Australian Qualifications – Certificate III + 2 years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV with 3 years of experience.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
• AC Handling License is an advantage but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• European vehicle experience is highly regarded but not essential.
• A current HR/Truck Licence is essential for this role.

Third-Year Apprentice:

• Minimum of three years' experience in the trade.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
• HR/Truck Licence is essential or willingness to obtain it.
• Willingness to gain experience across multiple workshop locations if required.
