Prince of Wales Private Hospital is seeking several Wardsperson's to join our dynamic team on a casual basis.

As a wardsperson you will be deployed across a 24/7 range of shifts throughout the hospital to provide non-clinical support to the nursing team including: patient lifting; patient transportation; restock supplies; collection & delivery of equipment & specimens.

As an Wardsperson your responsibilities will include:

· Safe transfer of patients to and from the operating theatre

· Provide safe effective patient handling and positioning.

· Maintaining a safe patient environment including the setup and cleaning of theatres during procedures

· Providing support to the nursing staff

Essential Criteria:

· Authority to Work in Australia

· Prior experience in a hospital environment

· Prior experience in a similar role will be highly reagrded

· Certificate III in Health Support Services or equivalent (desirable)

· Hold a valid Working with Children check

· Commitment to service excellence

· Ability to prioritise and organise work, with minimal supervision

· Ability to work in a fast paced environment 

· High level attention to detail

· Able to work a 7- day rotating roster including Night shifts.
