The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team based in Upper Mount Gravatt and be a part of our team comprised of qualified accountants and finance professionals. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll take ownership of key financial operations and play an important role in supporting our leadership team with accurate reporting and insights. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across varied responsibilities, from financial reporting and compliance to analysis and process improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with oversight of day-to-day financial operations and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and funding requirements
  • Preparation of annual budgets and monthly management reports
  • Complete financial and variance analyses to support decision making
  • Assist with oversight of accounts payable, receivable, and payroll using Attache and Access Micropay systems
  • Liaise with auditors, government departments, and other key stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve systems and processes

About You

You're an organised and detail focused accounting professional who can work both independently and as part of a team. You enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and providing reliable financial information that helps others make informed decisions.

To be successful, you'll need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
  • CPA or CA membership is highly desirable
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Understanding of government and not-for-profit funding processes is desirable but not mandatory
  • Strong communication, analytical, and time management skills.
