About the Role
We're looking for a senior apprentices or qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic to join our growing team at Aether Air Pty Ltd in Brisbane.
This full-time position covers a mix of service, breakdown, and installation work across residential and commercial air-conditioning systems — including split systems, multi-heads, and ducted installations.
If you're a hands-on technician who takes pride in your work and enjoys variety in your week, this role offers a great balance of diagnostic, repair, and install projects
What You'll Be Doing
- Perform preventative maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repairs on HVAC systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults across a wide range of residential and light commercial systems.
- Carry out installation of split systems, ducted units, and zone controllers, including commissioning and customer handover.
- Maintain accurate service notes, photos, and reports using our digital job system.
- Provide excellent communication and customer service, representing Aether Air professionally on-site.
- Work safely and ensure all jobs comply with Australian standards and licensing requirements.
- Liaise with the office and suppliers to identify and order required parts or materials.
What We're Looking For
- Proven technical knowledge of air-conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, fault-finding, and installation skills.
- Valid manual driver's licence and clean driving record.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Professional communication and a customer-focused attitude.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and continuous improvement.
What You'll Need
- Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or be 3rd /4th year apprentice.
- Current ARCtick licence.
- Restricted Electrical Licence (QLD) relevant to the trade.
- White Card and Blue Card (or ability to obtain).
- CPR/LVR certification.
- Basic tools of the trade (specialty tools and gauges supplied).
