The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity is available for a Locum Psychiatrist to join the Nepean Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team in Penrith, NSW.

Work as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team providing high-quality mental health care to children, adolescents, and their families.

The position offers 4 days per week (with a flexible day off) and the potential for ongoing locum work until the role is permanently filled.

Clinical Environment:

  • Engage in complex and rewarding Child and Adolescent Psychiatry work within a supportive, collaborative environment
  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and management planning for young people with mental health presentations
  • Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary meetings
  • Contribute to on-call phone support (short shift) as part of the role

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Current AHPRA Specialist Registration in Psychiatry (FRANZCP or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Australian working rights
