The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity is available for a Locum Psychiatrist to join the Nepean Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team in Penrith, NSW.
Work as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team providing high-quality mental health care to children, adolescents, and their families.
The position offers 4 days per week (with a flexible day off) and the potential for ongoing locum work until the role is permanently filled.
Clinical Environment:
- Engage in complex and rewarding Child and Adolescent Psychiatry work within a supportive, collaborative environment
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and management planning for young people with mental health presentations
- Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary meetings
- Contribute to on-call phone support (short shift) as part of the role
- Enjoy stability and continuity in an ongoing locum post, ideal for psychiatrists seeking consistent work in Sydney's west
Eligibility Criteria:
- Current AHPRA Specialist Registration in Psychiatry (FRANZCP or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Australian working rights
