Philanthropy is vital to Children's Cancer Institute achieving its vision to save the lives of all children with cancer and improve their long-term health, through research. Securing, retaining and growing high value support is at the centre of our fundraising strategy.

As our Philanthropy Executive your purpose will be to:

  • Contribute to the strategy and managing the execution of a growing Philanthropy Event Series that consists of various face-face engagement opportunities throughout the year for our most valuable supporters.
  • Understand and execute best practice donor stewardship plans, including sharing of updates, problem solving, thanking, responding to queries in a timely manner and the escalation of issues.
  • Support and enable the activities of our long-standing volunteer Committee partners, providing inspiring content and year-round engagement.Support the management and growth of the Mid-Value donor pipeline in collaboration with the Philanthropy Relationship Manager and Donor Optimisation Manager, with a focus on retention and cultivation.
  • Manage the timely delivery of key projects, events and activities, through , or similar project management tools.
  • Partner with the Data team to evaluate program performance and use insights to influence Philanthropy strategy.
  • Identify high potential prospects and deliver a plan to grow partnerships across Australia.
  • Have a general understanding of the wider Philanthropic landscape, signposting opportunities for program enhancement.

To succeed you will have…

  • 2+ years of fundraising experience or transferrable skills from other work experience.
  • Experience working with mid-high value supporters and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Experience managing high-stake events and projects, using project management tools, ideally
  • Ability to manage all stages of donor pipelines, from prospect research to cultivation, through Salesforce, or similar CRM systems.
