We're looking for a Leading Hand / Workshop Manager to join our growing earthmoving team and help lead from the front.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance time between the tools and managing workshop and field operations.

You'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of earthmoving machinery, leading a small team, and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, service, and repair a range of earthmoving equipment (excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, dump trucks, etc.)
• Lead, mentor, and support staff
• Coordinate daily operations—job scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation
• Manage parts ordering, stock control, and job documentation
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and management
• Uphold safety standards and drive continuous improvement

• Trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Cert III or equivalent)
• Proven background in earthmoving equipment maintenance
• Previous experience as a Leading Hand, Foreman, or Supervisor
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and organisational skills
• Good communication and leadership abilities
• HR licence and or forklift license (highly regarded or willing to obtain)
• Experience making hydraulic hoses
• Exposure to trucks & trailers
