Mad Monkey Coogee Beach is looking for an experienced manager who is passionate about the hospitality industry to run their hostel in Sydney.

Your role will include the following responsibilities:
Operations
Manage all functions of the hostel's daily operation:
Working in and overseeing reception
Implementing standards and procedures
Deal with issues as they arise
Dealing with suppliers/ordering
Keeping on top of maintenance and organizing fixes
Organizing hostel events
Organize housekeeping to ensure cleaning is maintained to the highest standard
Oversee reservation inquiries, check in and check outs, payments
Financial
Ensure there is correct financial reporting to the owner
Checking of bills and communicating them accordingly
Budget costs accordingly
Monitor and manage budget and expenses.
Revenue Management: Look to reach goals and targets alongside the owner and apply yield and rate strategies
Staff Management
Hire and onboard new staff
Roster receptionists and Housekeepers
Be a leader and train receptionists and housekeepers in all aspects of their jobs
Limit staff turnover by creating a good working environment for employees
Customers
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
Monitor and respond to guest review's
Deal with difficult customers as they arise
Provide exceptional customer service and manage guest concern even outside reception hours
Marketing
Assist in managing the properties social media accounts to ensure interaction and development of brand.
Cultivate strong relationships with local business.
Experience/Skills required
Applicant must have
2+ years of manager or assistant manager experience
4+ years experience in hospitality industry preferably in accommodation
Must have worked with and have strong knowledge of a property management systems (preferably experience of using Cloudbeds reservations system)
Strong ability to multi task
Strong communication skills
The ability to work in a team and alone
Good understanding of processes and efficiency
Financial reporting experience
