Advisor - Financial Crime Compliance (Risk Assessments)

We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Advisor to join our Central Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) team. This role is key to strengthening our financial crime compliance framework through risk assessments, policy support, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll work closely with the FCC Policy and Framework team, Assurance team, and internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate financial crime risks, ensuring our compliance practices remain robust and forward-thinking.
Your work will help shape policies, monitor adherence, and support training initiatives that raise awareness and drive continuous improvement across the organisation. With flexibility to be based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a high-profile area of compliance.
As Advisor – FCC Risk Assessments, you'll:
- Lead and maintain financial crime risk assessments
- Support the development and refinement of compliance policies
- Monitor adherence to financial crime procedures and report findings
- Contribute to training and awareness initiatives
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support compliance outcomes
You bring a strong understanding of financial crime obligations, including AML/CTF legislation and AUSTRAC guidance. Your experience in financial services and banking equips you to assess risk across diverse products and third-party relationships. You're confident conducting AML/CTF risk assessments, navigating regulatory change, and building trusted relationships with stakeholders and regulators alike.
Analytical by nature, you quickly identify issues and offer practical, business-focused solutions. You're collaborative, adaptable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where your insights make a real impact.
