The Opportunity:H.P Heavy Industry Pty Ltd are seeking experienced Belt Splicers for various rolling shutdowns on several sites with tier 1 clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing, replacing, and refurbishing conveyor belt, rollers and roller frames.
  • Handling steel cord, fabric, and woven belts.
  • Managing conveyor belt systems and related components, including roller frames, skirting systems, belt cleaner systems, conveyor belt tracking units, and chutes.
  • Operating conveyor vulcanizing and belt handling equipment.
  • Repairing and maintaining conveyor belts and associated components.
  • Reporting to the supervisor/LH regarding any breakdown and potential risks and safety concerns.

**Job requirements:

1.Essential:**

  • Prior relevant conveyor experience in all splicing, repairs, belt change outs, inserts, re-splices, equipment operation and shutdown preparation.
  • Well-developed verbal/written communication and interpersonal.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely manage a variety of tasks and achieve effective and timely outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Actively seek out ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Provide a satisfactory National Police Check certificate.
  • Have an ability to pass a full pre-employment medical test and Drug and Alcohol Screening.
  • Full Australian working rights (Visa, or permanent residency or citizenship).

2.Desirable:

  • Certificate in Polymer Processing II or III.
  • Current Full Australian Driver's Licence.
  • High Risk Work License including Forklift, Dogging and Rigging, and EWP preferable
  • Days, Nights and Weekends Available.
