Position Title: Photocopier & POS Technician
Location: Bundaberg Region
Reports To: management of – Sharp Bundaberg
Position Overview
The Photocopier & POS Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HP, Kyocera, and Sharp multifunction devices, photocopiers, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and related equipment within Bundaberg. This role requires a customer-focused approach, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently while delivering a high standard of service and support to our valued clients.
Remuneration package includes a fully serviced company vehicle, fuel card, and laptop.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Setup: Install and configure photocopiers, multifunction devices, and POS systems at customer sites.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair faults to minimise downtime.
- Technical Support: Provide on-site and remote technical assistance for hardware and software-related issues.
- Upgrades & Integration: Carry out software updates, firmware upgrades, and system integrations with customer networks.
- Customer Service: Deliver excellent service and clear communication to customers, ensuring a positive experience at every interaction.
- Training: Provide end-user training on equipment functions and best practices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, job reports, and parts usage logs.
- Stock & Parts Management: Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability for common repairs.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience servicing photocopiers, multifunction devices, and/or POS systems preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electronic fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, printing protocols, and device integration.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
