About the Role

Harvest Hospitality is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at the Brady's Railway Hotel, Albury. This is a leadership position for a culinary professional with strong technical skills, creative vision, and the ability to manage a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.

As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, compliance with food safety standards, and efficient workflow. You will play a key role in maintaining the venue's reputation for simplicity, great service, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.


Scope of Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Develop and execute seasonal menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
  • Manage kitchen financial performance, including cost control, stock management, and waste reduction.
  • Collaborate with senior management and FOH teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
  • Drive innovation while balancing operational efficiency and profitability.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in a senior chef or head chef position.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of modern culinary techniques and industry trends.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, food costs, and kitchen KPIs.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding food and customer experiences.
