Registered Nurse – Oncology / Day Therapy Unit

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join the Day Therapy Unit, where you'll deliver exceptional care to patients undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive treatments. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses passionate about cancer care who enjoy building lasting relationships with patients and their families.

About the Role As a Chemotherapy Nurse, you'll be responsible for:

• Administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusions for conditions such as Crohn's disease and multiple sclerosis.
• Conducting comprehensive assessments and delivering evidence-based nursing care.
• Providing education and emotional support to patients throughout their treatment journey.
• Ensuring patient safety and maintaining high clinical standards.
• Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.

Essential Criteria:

• Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Experience in oncology and haematology nursing.
• Competency in administering cytotoxic chemotherapy and/or immunotherapy.
• Proficiency in IV cannulation, phlebotomy, and CVAD management (PICC, PORT).
• Current ADAC qualification.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Commitment to quality patient care and adherence to national standards.
