About Us

Diggerland Playcentre is a sensory-based, construction-themed indoor play space where children explore, create, and learn through play. With our interactive sandboxes, diggers, construction role-play zones, and hands-on sensory experiences, we aim to provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children while supporting parents and caregivers with a memorable outing. Our Flagship stores opens at Braeside in end of October.

Role Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and caring Venue Manager to join our crew. You'll play an important role in creating a welcoming environment, supervising children during play, supporting families, and keeping our centre safe, clean, and fun.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet families with warmth and ensure a welcoming experience.
  • Supervise children during play to ensure safety and fun.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire the team across play, café, and reception.
  • Assist with setup, cleaning, and resetting of play areas, especially our construction-themed sandbox zones.
  • Host birthday parties and group bookings with energy and enthusiasm.
  • Follow health, hygiene, and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Contribute to the overall positive and team-focused culture of Diggerland Playcentre.
  • Oversee rostering, budgets, labour costs, and venue performance.
  • Drive staff training, growth, and career development.
  • Be visible and present on the floor—especially during weekends, holidays, and peak times.

  • Passionate about working with children and creating memorable play experiences.
  • Friendly, energetic, and approachable with strong communication skills.
  • Reliable, responsible, and safety-focused.
  • Team player who is happy to roll up their sleeves and help wherever needed.
  • Previous experience in childcare, early education, playcentres, or hospitality is a bonus (but not required ).
  • Operationally savvy: rostering, budgets, guest flow, compliance, safety.
  • Should Have Working with Children Check (Or Willing to acquire).
  • Available to work weekends and public holidays .
