The Role

Vitrinite are currently seeking multiple Specialised Auto Electricians to form up a mobile support crew to provide specialised maintenance support to our Vulcan Mine Complex and other upcoming projects located in the Bowen Basin near Dysart.

Initially the roles sit within our Maintenance Department at Vulcan mine however will evolve to be based at one of the newer project locations from which the team will provide support across all operations as required.

Roster:

The position is offered on a 7/7 roster, day/night, DIDO or based in Dysart, Central QLD.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Vitrinite's fleet and maintain the fleet to industry leading standards of reliability.
• Oversee and support the assembly and commissioning of all mining equipment scheduled for delivery onsite, ensuring timely and professional completion.
• Provide expert auto electrical support and practices in line with company standards and procedures.
• Perform troubleshooting and recommend sustainable solutions to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution of issues.
• Assist with scheduled planned maintenance and forecasting of associated parts to maintain equipment at an acceptable level.
• Maintain and manage the performance of all equipment onsite, ensuring a safe and reliable fleet.
• Manage all OEM relationships to a high level, ensuring timely and satisfactory completion of machine engineering issues.

About the Candidate

We are looking for highly experienced/specialist Auto Electricians who have a strong team attitude and a drive to achieve the most reliable equipment possible. This role specifically requires the following:

• Minimum 5 years experience with multiple types of mining equipment
• Extensive Mine Site Experience
• Trade certificate
• Valid Driver's Licence
• Proof of right to work in Australia;
• Commitment to Safety

The following will be highly regarded:

• Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical;
• OEM experience

Other Requirements

Successful candidates:

• May be required to complete background screening which may include a criminal check and validation of qualifications.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.
