ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a kitchen hand/cook to join the team and attitude is everything Working in the kitchen you will be required to help with food prep, basic cooking, and dishes as per the chef's instructions. This job needs someone with a can-do attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for all things food and hospitality.
This casual role will require the successful candidate to be reliable and available over a 7-day roster. There are currently 20-30 hours per week available with the opportunity for increased hours based on performance and career development for the right candidate.
- Food preparation and basic cooking
- Food hygiene, allergy, and awareness controls
- Cleaning duties
- Consistent and professional delivery of the venue's products
- Ensure a good understanding of all food offerings throughout the venue, including being well versed in all menus
- Communicate and liaise with team members, kitchen, and other areas of operations as required
- Hygienic and neat presentation of the service and kitchen area(s) by adherence to all operating policies and procedures
- Follow Safe Work Procedures for all areas of the hotel at all times as per WHS Act 2012 and HACCP
- Any other duties directed by the hotel's management
