The role

The Clinical Facilitator (CF) role provides advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills to ensure provision of education and quality services that are aligned to the delivery of safe and quality care as well as service and organisational goals.

  • Advanced level of decision making in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Apply professional and clinical expertise in collaboration with nursing and multi-disciplinary stakeholders.
  • Provides leadership in clinical decision making to coordinate care for consumers of the Health Contact Centre.

Key responsibilities:

  • Able to practice in complex situations integrating theory, practice and experience while providing support and direction to nursing staff.
  • Participate in developing, evaluating and updating clinical service procedures, protocols, standard and guidelines.
  • Maintain the safety of consumers by identifying risk and undertaking safe work activities within the environment.
  • Consult and provide nursing advice on the development and application of quality and risk management frameworks.
  • Provide support, guidance, mentoring, preceptorship, role modelling and promote cooperation and collaborative teamwork.

About you

We are searching for someone who:

  • Advanced level of clinical knowledge, expertise and conceptual skills to translate strategy into innovative clinical practice solutions to achieve consumer-focused outcomes.
  • Experience in designing and implementing clinical services and/or programs in public and/or private healthcare services and facilities including co-designing services with consumers. Experience in Virtual Care service delivery is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in program and project management including the ability to oversee the development and implementation of plans by team members.
  • Advance leadership skills to successfully lead and manage a small team, set direction, motivate and inspire staff, and promote an environment where staff are valued, developed and coached to perform at their full potential.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative relationships and high level of interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Extensive experience in strategic and operational engagement with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate an agreed position.
