Risk Analyst

A bit about the role

As a Risk Analyst within BNK, you will play a key role in helping the business understand and manage risk in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will assist with the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of risk and compliance activities.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with internal stakeholders across all business units, supporting operational improvements and assisting with risk analysis and insight. You will also gain hands on experience while assisting with the daily administration of risk and compliance processes, reporting, and documentation.

This role will offer an opportunity to further develop knowledge within risk and compliance.

What we're looking for:

• Experience in a risk, compliance, or governance role
• An understanding of risk and compliance frameworks
• A proactive mindset with a strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to write clearly for a variety of audiences
• Highly organised and able to manage competing tasks and deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with data analysis, reporting, and pivot tables.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk, Compliance, or other relevant discipline

What you will be doing

This is an exciting and challenging role and you will:

• Support the Senior Risk Managers in reviewing and documenting risks, controls, policies, and procedures
• Contribute to risk assessments for new projects and change initiatives
• Support the identification of risk issues across all areas of the business
• Support BNK's regulatory change management through monitoring, assessment, and assisting with implementation of new or amended compliance obligations
• Help analyse data and reports related to operational risks
• Work closely with various departments to understand processes and enhance the risk culture
• Confidently engage with stakeholders and provide training or guidance
