About the opportunity
The Nurse Manager holds a portfolio and collaborates with Nurse Educators and the leadership team to deliver an evidence-based learning support service for the professional development of undergraduate and post-graduate nurses and midwives at Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
About the Department
Clinical Education Services is a division of the Clinical Education and Research team, delivering a comprehensive range of nursing and midwifery education programs. Portfolios of the team includes graduate nurse and midwifery education, the Clinical Partnership Program supporting undergraduate nurses and midwives, scope of practice, digital learning, occupational violence prevention, ongoing professional development, and research.
The service supports educational initiatives within the wider HHS and aims to enhance staff knowledge and skills with high-quality, accessible training, professional development, and research opportunities to ensure Townsville Hospital and Health Service has a skilled and capable workforce that supports the organisations overarching vision and purpose.

Salary range: $ to $ p.f. (NG7)
5 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
Professional Development leave
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements:
Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
Travel: This position may be required to travel to (via small planes or ferry) and work at, other facilities located within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service, e.g., participate in clinical activities or meetings for planning, quality, performance and education. This may involve day and/or overnight stays. The successful applicant must be able to commit to this requirement.
