Senior Cloud Engineer – Contact Centre Platforms (AWS)

Permanent | Sydney-based | Hybrid (2–3 days in office)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to support a major contact centre cloud transformation program. This role is ideal for a strong AWS cloud technologist with DevOps capability who enjoys designing, implementing, and supporting modern cloud platforms in complex environments.

While experience with Amazon Connect is highly regarded, it is not mandatory — we are primarily seeking high-quality cloud engineers with strong AWS, DevOps, and application development skills who can adapt quickly and operate at scale.

Top 3 Key Requirements

  1. Strong AWS Cloud Engineering Experience: Proven hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting AWS-based solutions across compute, networking, security, and governance.
  2. DevOps & Automation Capability: Ability to design and manage CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and implement Infrastructure as Code in production environments.
  3. Application / Development Skills: Practical development or scripting experience enabling automation, integration, and platform uplift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support cloud-native solutions on AWS
  • Contribute to the engineering of a modern, cloud-based contact centre platform
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and related tooling
  • Support secure configuration, governance, and compliance automation
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and delivery teams across the platform
  • Troubleshoot, optimise, and continuously improve cloud environments

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong working knowledge of AWS services, including:
  • Serverless compute
  • Databases
  • Networking
  • Security and governance
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
  • Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform strongly preferred)
  • Development or scripting experience in one or more of:
  • Terraform
  • JSON
  • Python
  • NodeJS
  • Experience working in large or complex technology environments
