We are looking for an experienced, highly adaptable, nurturing, and passionate Teacher Aide/Diverse Learning Support Aide –to join our well-established Diverse Learning Department at Grace Lutheran College, Rothwell on a permanent full time/part time, term time basis.

The Role

This position involves the support of students who may have a diagnosed learning disorder, physical or cognitive disability or social emotional disorder.

At Grace we follow an inclusive and holistic model when supporting students.

Working alongside teaching staff, Diverse Learning Support Aides champion students by providing support strategies to assist students to access the curriculum, grow in confidence and positively engage in everyday school life.

The position is permanent full time or part time, term time.

It is a mandatory requirement to hold a Certificate III (or higher) in Educational Support and a current paid blue card (working with children check).

It would be highly advantageous if applicants hold a certificate or training in dyslexia, autism or moderate learning difficulties or other disability areas.

About You

  • Is your professional experience relevant to supporting students who may have dyslexia, autism or moderate learning difficulties or other disability areas?
  • Do you have excellent communication skills that will prove to be effective in developing students' learning experiences through the use of eLearning?
  • Can you bring confidence to support students' needs in literacy and numeracy?
