About the Role
Our Rear Lift Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of workshop employees and work activities, the planning and coordination of operations and ensuring production targets are met safely.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Delegating manufacturing tasks so that the team can meet production deadlines
- Communicating expectations and appraising performance
- Educating team members about preferred occupational health and safety practices
- Establishing priorities to ensure team works most efficiently
- Developing and implementing production policies and procedures
- Checking manufacturing equipment and control points to ensure efficient workflow is maintained
- Addressing production problems as they arise
- Organising or the repair or replacement of faulty production equipment
- Reporting on performance to production manager
- Coaching and performance management
- Making recommendations about ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Nurturing cooperation and communication within production team and other departments

About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Significant experience in heavy fabrications.
- Trade qualifications - Certificate III in Engineering or relevant demonstrated experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Suite, EASE and ChekRite.
- Experience in the inspection and quality check of materials and associated rework to meet design specifications

The preferred candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical which will include a drug and alcohol test.
