We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused General Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse to join our friendly and dynamic team.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Provide direct, individualised bedside nursing care to pre- and post-surgery patients
  • Evaluate medical information and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
  • Prepare, administer and accurately document prescribed medications
  • Monitor vital signs and promptly report adverse reactions to medications
  • Work with the healthcare team on effective discharge planning
  • Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery and post-operative care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient files, charts and electronic health records
  • Adhere to best practice standards, nursing protocols and hospital policies

Essential Criteria

  • AHPRA Registered Nurse
  • 12 years experience in General Medical/Surgical nursing
  • Strong communication and patient-education skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
