Dispensary / Compounding Lab Technician or Pharmacy Student - Part Time or Full Time (~15-39 hours per week)

Pharmacy Background: Circle Health COMPOUNDING Pharmacy ALTONA NORTH is located within a state-of-the-art Medical Hub including GP's, dentists, specialists & other health services just to name a few.

About the role: We are currently seeking Part Time or Full Time Dispensary / Compounding Lab Technician or Pharmacy Student for approx 15-39 hours per week Monday - Friday across 8am to 7pm and alternate Saturday 9am-1pm. Hours are flexible and suitable for parents or students to fit around school.

Duties include:

  • Warm and friendly customer service and patient care

  • Identifying customer and patient needs

  • Liaising and communicating with other health professionals and providers

  • Matching relevant OTC solutions with expert advice and product knowledge

  • Dispensing of prescriptions, and assisting pharmacist with dispensary duties

  • Assisting in coordinating and maintaining cohesive workflow of dispensary, front-of-shop, and vaccination clinics

  • Coordinating and packing medications into DAA Blister (Webster) packs

  • Merchandising, Stock control and maintenance of Dispensary and FOS

  • Complex Compounding (non-sterile) - training may be provided for the right candidate

  • Assist in CPA programs - e.g. Medschecks, DAA etc.

  • Other operational, maintenance and housekeeping duties

  • Adhere to OH&S measures

  • Local patient deliveries

  • Undertake training when provided

  • Drive the pharmacy sales to achieve set targets and KPIs

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent with customer service and communication skills

  • Quick thinking and problem solving

  • Thorough organisation with attention to detail

  • Highly self-motivated

  • Work cohesively in joining our team

  • Previous Australian pharmacy or retail experience preferred

  • A current drivers licence

  • Certificate in Pharmacy S2 / S3 Training

  • Proficiency in Fred Dispense PLUS, Fred Office, and Suremed software (highly advantageous)

  • Certificate II or higher in Community Pharmacy (highly advantageous)

  • Dispensary Technician qualification and experience (highly advantageous)

  • Complex Compounding qualification and experience (highly advantageous)

  • Current Certificate in First Aid: HLTAID003/HLTAID011 & CPR: HLTAID001/HLTAID009 (highly advantageous)

  • Fluent in second language: Greek, Italian, Serbian (highly advantageous)
