Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineering Lead with a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, and cross-platform deployments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft Power Platform and Azure, with working knowledge of AWS, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, and SRE practices. This role requires both technical leadership and hands-on engineering capabilities, along with the ability to mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for reliability, security, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Engineering

  • Lead the design and implementation of solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and Azure services.
  • Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS.
  • Develop and implement automation strategies for infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cross-platform deployments (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Define and enforce best practices for cloud security, compliance, governance, and cost optimization.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

  • Define and maintain SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs.
  • Implement and manage observability solutions (metrics, logging, tracing).
  • Build automated alerting and incident response systems.
  • Drive capacity planning and performance optimization efforts.
  • Lead post-incident reviews, implement corrective actions, and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Develop runbooks and playbooks for operational consistency.
  • Apply chaos engineering practices to enhance system resilience.
  • Automate routine operations and maintenance tasks.
  • Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in platform engineering or a related role.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Azure services (Functions, DevOps, Active Directory, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation).
  • Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
