At the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, we are connecting South Australia to keep our State moving. We are responsible for delivering a multi-billion-dollar pipeline of transformative transport and social infrastructure projects, operating and maintaining thousands of kilometres of roads and managing our city's public transport network.

Our work encompasses every part of our State; from our cities to our regions, connecting and strengthening community. We value diversity and inclusion and foster an environment of collaboration, flexibility, and support for our people.

The Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to support South Australia's major infrastructure governance committees by managing sensitive information and ensuring transparent, effective decision-making. It involves collaborating with executives and project teams to meet governance obligations and maintain the Department's project and program management framework in line with strategic objectives.

The position also contributes to business process improvements and change initiatives, requiring a strong understanding of governance and project management principles. With a focus on continuous improvement and ethical practice, this role plays a key part in shaping the success of major infrastructure projects across the state.

About you

You're a proactive and strategic professional with a passion for driving excellence in infrastructure governance. With a proven ability to coordinate and manage high-level Executive Governance Committees, you bring confidence and composure to complex and sensitive matters - always ensuring a professional and positive experience for stakeholders.

Your communication skills - both written and verbal - are a standout strength. You know how to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, negotiate successful outcomes, and foster strong, collaborative relationships across diverse teams.

You're experienced in supporting the development of robust project management frameworks and documentation, and you thrive in dynamic environments where priorities can shift quickly. Whether working independently or alongside others, you bring clarity, structure, and momentum to every task.

Most importantly, you take ownership, embrace change, and understand the importance of effective risk and change management. This is your opportunity to play a key role in shaping major infrastructure projects that will benefit communities across South Australia  -- all while contributing to a workplace that values safety, inclusivity, and integrity.
