Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Associate Director, Complaint, Safety and Support Triage Services to join Office of the Vice-President (Administration) and University Registrar, Administrative Division.
The Associate Director, Complaint, Safety and Support Triage Services provides leadership and specialist advice to the University in relation to complaints management, and compliance with external regulatory obligations including the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence (GBV Code). The position works closely with the Office of the Vice-President (Administration) and University Registrar, the Provost, the Chief People Officer, other senior leaders and existing specialist support areas within the University to develop, implement and maintain effective frameworks, systems and processes to receive, triage and manage issues involving interpersonal conflict, particularly those related to gender-based violence and racism.

The Office of the Vice-President (Administration) and University Registrar supports the day-to-day management of the business of the University Registrar and provides a central point of contact for the various stakeholders of the Administrative Division and in regard to matters within the University Registrar's portfolio..
What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications in Law, Business Administration, Human Resources, or Public Health, or a relevant field together with extensive relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience providing high-level advice to senior leadership on compliance and risk management.
- Demonstrated capability in leading the management and triage of complex matters and interpersonal-focussed complaints, and trauma-informed and person-centred case resolution.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams, and to drive cultural and systemic change across a large and diverse organisation.
- Demonstrated practical experience in collecting, managing, analysing and reporting on sensitive data.
- Demonstrated experience in drafting documentation including detailed submissions and reports to committees, government, and other external bodies.
