The Retail Technology Engineer – PoS & Store Systems will play a critical role in the configuration, deployment, and support of PoS systems, self-checkout solutions, and digital technologies across our store network. This individual will be responsible for driving system stability, integration, and user experience by collaborating with internal teams and external partners across a complex, fast-paced retail environment Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and support store hardware, PoS peripherals, and self-checkout terminals to ensure seamless operation.
  • Manage system setup through effective configuration and configuration management practices.
  • Support maintenance, upgrades, and deployment of PoS and self-checkout software and hardware, including integrations with SAP, Digital platforms, and other 3rd party services.
  • Implement and maintain digital signage systems, including image/button artwork using Figma for PoS interfaces.
  • Operate within CISCO-based store network environments and assist in managing Palo Alto firewall policies for secure operations.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of retail IT environments and platforms, ensuring technology alignment with business needs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Infrastructure, DevOps, Security, Product teams, and external partners to deliver integrated technology solutions.
  • Stay informed of emerging industry innovations and contribute to long-term technology planning and roadmap development.
  • Lead and coordinate complex programs and projects, delivering within Agile environments and ensuring alignment with delivery timelines.
  • Own end-to-end lifecycle planning from configuration through deployment and support, applying a DevOps mindset to optimize delivery.
  • Assist in system implementations, including production rollouts, ensuring quality and minimal business disruption.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience configuring and supporting retail PoS and self-checkout systems.
  • Familiarity with SAP integrations and 3rd party system connectivity.
  • Hands-on experience with digital signage systems and UI artwork tools (e.g., Figma).
  • Strong working knowledge of networking in CISCO environments and firewall policies (e.g., Palo Alto).
  • Basic Azure Cloud knowledge.
  • Proven ability to manage configurations and deployments using DevOps principles.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects in Agile delivery environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to coordinate across multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
