In This Role, You'll:

Become a Road Safety Hero—one of the most cherished figures in your neighbourhood. As a School Crossing Supervisor, you'll help ensure children, families, and motorists stay safe every school day. You'll be a familiar, friendly face rain or shine, and your presence will be a daily dose of reassurance for countless families.

Transport for NSW is recruiting across Sydney and Regional NSW, with opportunities in:

  • Northern NSW & Sydney: From Ryde and Hornsby to Byron Bay and Tweed
  • Southern NSW &Sydney - From Fairfield to Campbelltown including Sutherland, Nowra, Wagga wagga and Albury
  • Eastern Sydney: Covering Waverley, Woollahra, and the Inner West
  • Western NSW & Sydney - From Parramatta to Lithgow, Duboo and Narrabri

Become a School Crossing Supervisor today.

Take your pick:

  • Permanent Part-Time: 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon, Monday to Friday. That's 20 hours per fortnight—with paid school holidays (Terms 1-3)
  • Casual: Flexible shifts during school terms, minimum 1 hour per shift

You'll receive an hourly wage, superannuation, and all the gear you need to shine—including training, uniforms, and equipment.

About You:

You're community-minded, reliable in all weather, and passionate about keeping kids safe. You communicate clearly, stay alert, and love being part of something bigger.

To join the team, all we ask:

  • To be 18+ at the time of appointment
  • Willingness to complete a Working with Children Check, Police Check, Reference Checks, and a Health Assessment including a full medical history and physical assessment (we'll help you through it)
