Software Engineer – Core Development, Market Data & Exchange Connectivity

Nine Mile is a fast-growing global electronic trading firm, focused on market-making and arbitrage across ETFs and other liquid instruments. Technology powers everything we do, from trading strategies to market data delivery, and we're looking for top-tier engineers to join our expanding team.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and maintain low-latency core trading systems powering ETF and derivatives trading.
  • Build and optimize market data infrastructure, ensuring accurate, real-time feeds from global venues.
  • Implement and manage exchange connectivity, including FIX gateways, ITCH/OUCH/FLEX feeds, and broker integrations.
  • Lead exchange upgrade and integration projects, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime.
  • Monitor and optimize performance across the trading stack, minimizing latency and maximizing throughput.
  • Collaborate closely with trading and research teams to deliver solutions tailored for ETFs and derivatives markets.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong experience in C++ and Java (core systems and connectivity).
  • Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages.
  • Experience with market data protocols and trading APIs (FIX, ITCH, OUCH, FLEX, Arrowhead, JGATE, OMNET).
  • Background in high-frequency or low-latency trading systems.
  • Comfortable in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Passion for financial markets and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
