The College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) is responsible for intensive care medicine specialist training and education in Australia & New Zealand. With over 1600 members, and a similar number in training, we strive to support the capability of our membership to deliver critical care to their patients.
Our ICT Manager is pivotal in operational excellence across the day-to-day operation, support and performance of our technology services and supports our Head of D&T to deliver upon the College's digital and technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational needs and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for innovation and emerging technologies and opportunities for services innovation.
- Establish and maintain strong ICT policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure good practise, compliance and continuous improvements.
- Monitor overall technology health and performance —including fault detection, capacity planning and optimisation.
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and relationships to ensure quality service delivery. Support and develop team members through a positive team culture.
- Lead a Technical Team to ensure reliable network operations, proactive monitoring and service continuity to all users.
- Partner with stakeholders
- Act as a key escalation point for critical issues, delivering swift resolutions and communications.
Experience & Skills
- Proven leadership experience in technical operations, application deployments, infrastructure refreshes and security and risk improvements (AWS, Azure, MS365)
- A customer-first approach to IT support and ICT project delivery with an emphasis on continuous improvement and a willingness to be hands-on at times.
- A computer science, or other relevant degree + knowledge in ITIL best practice.
- Demonstrated experience in project and program management, including scoping, planning, resourcing, financials, reporting and delivery.
- Strong leadership capability, with experience managing, developing and engaging an ICT team.
- Solid data privacy and protection, regulatory requirement and cybersecurity knowledge, including frameworks such as Essential Eight.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently and build collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Vendor and contract management experience.
- High-level problem-solving, analytical thinking and reporting skills.
