We employ approximately 4,000 people across four operating divisions: Fire & Security, Electrical, Property Services, and Products. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Project Administrator) to join our friendly and supportive team. We are offering a salary of $76,515 plus superannuation.

Job Details: Full-time, 38 hours per week

Salary: $76,515 plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities:

● Develop and review functional descriptions, project documentation, and organisational structures to determine responsibilities of service trades, work units, and workers, while identifying potential areas of duplication or inefficiency.

● Prepare and review detailed plans, drawings, and specifications for HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and plant construction, ensuring compliance with project requirements.

● Designing mechanical equipment, machines, components, products for manufacture, and plant and systems for construction.

● Study environmental and safety aspects of planned work, establishing site-specific standards, policies, and procedures in line with engineering principles and regulatory requirements.

● Establish and monitor work measurement programs, analyse workforce utilisation, production output, facility layouts, and project costs to optimise worker and equipment efficiency.

● Prepare and calculate cost estimates, operational budgets, and resource allocations for projects to ensure cost-effective delivery.

● Develop manufacturing and site-specific drawings, determining appropriate materials, equipment, piping, material flows, plant capacities, and system layouts.

● Organise and manage project labour, as well as the procurement, delivery, and installation of project materials, plant, and equipment.

● Conduct inspections, quality control checks, and performance evaluations to ensure systems operate at optimum efficiency and meet safety and quality standards.

● Oversee commissioning processes, prepare reports, and direct ongoing requirements for new designs, modifications, and maintenance schedules.

● Prepare comprehensive operations and maintenance manuals for the defect liability period, ensuring accurate handover and long-term project support.
