Precision Seeding Solutions (PSSAG) works at the cutting edge of precision agriculture, specialising in planter upgrades, machinery optimisation, and on-farm technology solutions. We work directly with growers to improve machine performance, crop establishment, and overall efficiency in the field.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with machinery, problem-solving, and seeing their work make a real difference on farm.

The Role

We're looking for a Mechanical Technician with strong trade skills and an interest in agricultural machinery and technology. The role is primarily hands-on, involving workshop builds, machine modifications, installations, and field support of precision ag equipment.

You'll work closely with our technical team fitting, testing, and maintaining equipment used in modern planting systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, modify, and install mechanical components and machinery
  • Fit and service hydraulic systems, linkages, and control components
  • Carry out mechanical upgrades to planters, sprayers and other agricultural equipment
  • Assist with machine setup, calibration, and testing in workshop and field
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and carry out repairs
  • Assist with prototype builds and product testing
  • Read and work from drawings, schematics, and job instructions
  • Support routine inspections, servicing, and maintenance
  • Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and performance standards

About You

  • Trade-qualified fitter, mechanic, diesel mechanic, or similar
  • Experience working with agricultural machinery, hydraulics, or heavy equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working both in a workshop and on-farm
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Welding, fabrication, or hydraulics experience highly regarded
  • Interest in precision agriculture

Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
