About the role

Are you a seasoned heavy fabricator with a passion for precision and quality?

Kotzur is seeking an experienced Fabricator | Boilermaker | Welder to join our team at our Walla Walla, just 30 minutes from Albury.

You will work on complex projects and play a key role in the fabrication of high-quality silos and associated structures and components.

What you'll be doing

  • Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings, blueprints and schematics
  • Fabricate, weld and assemble structural steel components for silo builds and related structures
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure welds meet industry and project specifications
  • Operate welding equipment and overhead cranes safely and efficiently
  • Mentor apprentices and junior team members
  • Collaborate with production supervisors, engineers, and project managers to meet deadlines
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to WHS protocols

What we're looking for

  • Trade qualification in fabrication or welding (Certificate III Engineering Fabrication or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in heavy steel fabrication and welding
  • Proficiency in MIG welding techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings and welding symbols
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Overhead crane experience (preferred)
  • A team player who can work independently and show initiative
  • Physically capable of performing fabrication tasks in various positions
