About the role

Leadership: The PMO Lead for this role is Oliver Kay. He is based in Sydney and is leading our East Coast PMO Practice. Oliver leads by guiding and supporting team members to develop their skills and achieve their potential, often through personalized feedback, encouragement, and by fostering a growth-oriented environment. This approach emphasizes learning and development as a key to long-term success.

As a Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for managing, directing and overseeing the operations and administration of assigned projects and programs. The Senior PM provides visible leadership, accountability and authority over projects and programs delivered to Insight clients. You will work independently and exhibit a high degree of initiative in resolving problems encountered and developing recommended solutions. 

Along the way, you will get to:

  • Be a visible, accountable leader who oversees the successful delivery of Insight Consulting Services projects and programs for Insight clients and helps develop new opportunities for future business.
  • Work with internal leadership to help drive best practices, standards, and methodology
  • Ensure the change management process is utilized in order to maintain profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Lead projects relative to milestone completion while managing resource and financial budgets. 
  • Develop and implement complete project schedules to ensure required dates are met.
  • Monitor and maintain client and internal project executive satisfaction by engaging in weekly or monthly status meetings.
  • Assist Sales in business development activities to grow Insight business.
  • Participate in and help author Statements of Work (SOWs), respond to RFPs as necessary.
  • Present Insight's Project Management and service capabilities to prospective clients.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with the following capabilities:

  • 10-15 years of experience in Project Management including experience in IT services, IT Operations or professional services industry. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience Project Managing Dynamics 365 CRM implementations.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering complex Microsoft implementation projects (ie Data &AI, Cloud Platform, Cloud Apps and Integration, BizApps) on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders
  • Experienced in generating and managing detailed project plans. 
  • Ability to manage technical resources working on multiple projects seamlessly. 
  • Must be an excellent communicator at C-level - both written and oral. 
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills and ability to interface seamlessly with sales staff. 
  • Ability to run project update meeting with both technical and non-technical attendees. 
  • Possess leadership qualities and skills that motivate project team members to drive the project to a successful conclusion.
  • Proven success driving profitability and customer satisfaction required. 
  • Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business/ professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations. 
  • Ability to write reports and/or business correspondence. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, other employees. 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft tools including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office, MS Project, SharePoint Portal
  • Project Management certifications such as PMP and/or PRINCE2
  • Knowledge of Agile tools such as JIRA and DevOps
  • Baseline Clearance or NV1 is highly desired
